Lumora privacy policy

Effective date: 08.12.2026 · Last updated: 08.12.2026 [mm.dd.yyyy]

This Privacy Policy explains what information Lumora handles, why, and who it is shared with.

1. Overview

Lumora is a wallpaper generator for iPhone and iPad. You do not need an account, and you never give us your name, email address, or contacts.

Some features need an internet connection: browsing the photo library, buying or restoring a subscription, and receiving new styles. Creating and saving wallpapers works offline.

2. Your photos stay on your device

If you add one of your own photos to a wallpaper, that photo is stored only on your device, inside the app. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Lumora asks for permission to add wallpapers to your photo library, and for permission to read a photo when you choose to import one. Both are handled by iOS and can be changed at any time in the Settings app.

3. Information you send us directly

Feature requests. When you use "Request a feature", we store the text you write. Please do not include personal details in it. Together with the text we store: a pseudonymous user identifier, whether you have an active subscription, the app version, your device language, and the iOS version.

Search terms When you search in Browse, the search text is sent to Pexels to return results, and the first 100 characters are also recorded in our analytics so we can see what people look for.

4. Information collected automatically

To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, we record:

  • device model and iOS version
  • app version, device language, and country
  • in-app actions: which styles are opened, edited, randomized and saved; save failures and their cause; when the subscription screen is shown, dismissed or purchased from; app icon changes
  • subscription status and which plan was chosen
  • crash reports, including device state at the time of the crash and a short log of the actions that preceded it
  • which variant of an interface experiment you were assigned to

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health data, or advertising identifiers, and Lumora does not show third-party advertising inside the app.

5. Identifiers

Lumora uses a pseudonymous identifier generated on your device. It is not your name or Apple ID, but it is the same identifier across analytics, crash reports, purchase records, and any feature request you send — which means those records can be linked to one another. Reinstalling the app generates a new identifier.

6. Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple. We never see your card or payment details.

Subscription status is managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, which receives the pseudonymous identifier and the details of the purchase. If you request a refund, Apple may share limited information with us for support and fraud prevention.

7. Third-party services Service Purpose Policy Apple Payments, subscriptions, App Store apple.com/legal/privacy Google Firebase Analytics, crash reporting, feature requests storage, remote configuration firebase.google.com/support/privacy RevenueCat Subscription management revenuecat.com/privacy Pexels Photo library in Browse; receives your search terms and IP address pexels.com/privacy-policy

8. Interface experiments

We sometimes show different versions of a screen to different people to learn which one works better. Your assigned variant is recorded together with the events above. This does not change the price you are offered.

9. Children's privacy

Lumora is rated 4+ and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Note that Browse shows photographs from the Pexels catalogue, which is an external library we do not curate. If you believe a child has sent us personal data through a feature request, contact us and we will delete it.

10. How long we keep data

Analytics and crash data are retained for 2 months. Feature requests are kept until we have acted on them or you ask us to delete them. Purchase records are kept as long as required for accounting and support.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the data associated with you, to object to processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it, and on your consent where the law requires it.

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@iosdeveloper.uk. Because the identifier is pseudonymous, please send your request from the app so we can match it, or include the identifier shown in the support email the app prepares for you.

12. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. External links

The app links to external websites, including the App Store, Pexels, and our policy pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pYMdicwhWCTMPi1xqki_CylX8Yey1CZXP9eReKeWoiU/edit?tab=t.0 , and the "Last updated" date above will change.
